The Fukien Tea Bonsai Tree, scientific name Carmona microphylla or Ehretia microphylla, is native to Southern China and other parts of Southeast Asia. It is a tropical tree which was once referred to as Carmona.
It can be grown outdoors if you live in a warm climate but needs to be protected from cold temperatures. It is a very popular indoor bonsai due to its ability to adapt to indoor conditions.

Appearance: Fukien Tea Bonsai Tree has small shiny dark green and white flowers that bloom almost all year long. Flowers are followed by small green, black, or red berries.

Water Requirements: Like most tropical plants, Fukien Tea Bonsai likes warm and humid climates. It enjoys occasional misting. It needs to be watered on a regular basis. Does well in moist but well-drained soil.
Light Requirements: Shade to full sun. If grown indoors, make sure to provide it with enough light. It will do very well if placed close to a window where it can get a lot of indirect light.
Hardiness: Does best in the USDA Zones 10-11. Likes a warm climate and needs to be protected from cold temperatures below 60 degrees.
Repotting: Every two years during springtime.
